Before Jason and Leslie purchased me I was a race horse with a 86 SI.
|
They purchase me knowing I had a bone chip in one of my knees.
After riding me for several months Leslie decided to have the chip removed from my knee.
|
Leslie made an appointment with Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital to evaluate the known chip and discuss surgery.
On April 29, I was taken to Lexington, KY. Dr. Ruggles was my vet. He first watched me walk and trot. Then preceded to take X-rays.
After X-rays we found two chips one in each knee.
Leslie decided to have both chips removed at the same time. On April 30 I had surgery.
After surgery I was to be rested for 3 months.

While on stall rest I got into everything. I even managed to tear my nose wide open on a bucket hanger. Now I have my own special bucket hanger because I play in my water bucket. Lucky for me Dr. Reid-Taylor from Chappell Equine was able to sew my nose back up, and it left a very small scare. |
